Purpose of SOLD
To develop leaders for ministry in the local church
Requirements for Participation in SOLD
- A call to actively pursue a higher level of commitment to the service of the Lord.
- Acts 6:3, 5 -
- Good Reputation
- Filled with the Holy Spirit
- Wisdom
- Faith
- Personal Devotional Life
- Prayer life around the reading and study of the Word of God
- Spiritual Gift Analysis
- Meets/Exceeds Campus Leadership Standards
- Worship Attendance of 80% or more
- Spiritual Formation Attendance of 80% or more
- Financial Support of a tithe or more
- Supports Church Wide Events 80% of more, i.e. picnic, Anniversary/Awards Banquet, VBS, etc.
Scope of SOLD
- Clergy (SOLD/C) Meets Monthly 2nd Tuesday
- Candidates for Ordained Ministry as Elders and Deacons in the United Methodist Church
- Assistants to the Pastor
- Laity (SOLD/L) Meets Monthly 4th Tuesday
- Administration
- Ministry Leaders in the Areas listed below
